Hi The input for test cases are Requirement documents and then Use cases if exists.... if no documentation is there for the application thet we've to know the functionality first and then go to write the test cases.Srinivas (srinvasulub1981@gmail.com)

 even i said the same answer, but the interviewer repeated the question as if i was wrong, but when i enquired all my frnds, they aswell said tat i was right, anyways tx for the response.

Hi

As i think test case is design after completion of Scenario of Function Design. Input for the Test Cases are basically Deliverables of each Stage. It should satisfy the entry and exit Creteria of each stage.

While writing test cases the input is use cases and business validations

while execution the input is the test data

BDD and UCD documents are input of a Test Case. Based on BDD and UCD we can write Test Cases.
