QA is responsible for managing, implimenting, maintaining and continously improving the Processes the Company and enable internal projects towards process maturity and facilitate process improvements and innovations in the organization.

Tester is responible for carrying the testing effort in the company.

In many companies QA position is for doing the role of both Testing and creating and improving the processes.

Hi

There two types of testings inrespect of QA and Testing.

1. Conventional Testing --> For Test Engineer , starts from after

    coding in SDLC

2. Unconventional Testing --> For QA, starts from Intial to till to lost

     Delivery/Maintanance.

So, QA is responcible for total project from Intial phase to Lost.

If any doubts about testing pls : Srinivasulub1981@yahoo.co.in

i try my level  best

Hi,

Responsible for applying the principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout the system lifecycle. Through testing, analysis, and observation, a person in this position not only ensures that requirements and standards have been met and processes and procedures followed but also that evidence of unwanted changes/defects has been reported and eliminated and the system retested.

Regards

Prasad
